didn't need an ID but anyone accompanying them would need one.

There was a letter issued on Monday to the state and the state announced it today. Everyone is scurrying around because no one knows what will happen next.

I recently applied for a civilian job on base. After Jan 10 I can't get on base without a passport, even if called for an interview.

My child was accepted into a leadership seminar program. Two of the sessions will be held on base, in February and March. She has a state ID but according to this it won't be accepted. I can't get her a passport without her father's consent and he refuses. (We've been through this before when I wanted to find out about a school trip.) The only other way would be to go in front of a judge and it could take a while to set up a date for that. When school is back in session we'll find out whether she'll be able to participate or not.

We weren't granted an extension because the GOP supermajority legislature thumbed their noses at the Feds and actually passed a law that basically stated that they can't be forced to do anything that they don't want to do.
