TURKEY-CHINA TENSION.....Chinese troops head for Syria [View all]

Mr. Hersh further spoke about tension between Turkish and Chinese intelligence over claims of Turkey’s bringing Uighurs from China to the Syrian battlefield. Relying on Syrian Ambassador Imad Moustapha’s remarks, Hersh wrote that China is concerned with Uighurs fighting in Syria.

Turkey, according to Hersh, facilitates transport of Uighurs from China’s Xinjiang region to Syria, an issue that pitted Beijing against Ankara.

I've read articles saying the Chinese have sent in elite troops to work with Russia against ISIL in Syria

I put an article up last night with a not so good source so I self deleted but finding other sources confirming the possibility today

ndeed, China’s continual economic development is the backbone of the Communist Party’s legitimacy and survival, and as such any threat to Beijing’s access to energy supply from the Mideast, strategic minerals from Africa, and its largest export market in Europe is a red line for the regime. Since the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is the military arm of the Communist Party rather than the Chinese state, Xi Jinping will deploy the PLA to defend Chinese interests and ensure regime survival when they are threatened.

Which brings them to Syria.
