14. We hold Trump accountable for the behavior of his supporters

Supporters of Trump have said and done horrendous things in his name and he has been repeatedly called out here for fueling those fires. We all feel he is partially responsible for the behavior of his most vociferous fans because the actions of large segments of a candidates supporters really do reflect the values of their leader. I do not expect our Democratic candidates to participate here at DU, but if they are running a competent campaign they will have staffers monitoring the main political sites, understand the type of chatter being inspired and swiftly shut down those who grossly misrepresent their candidate's ideas and ideals.

Leaders figure out how to bring people together and mobilize them towards a common purpose. If that purpose is to fling poo at their opponents or towards ideas they disagree with, then they are not worthy to lead this country in my estimation. The collective voice of a candidate's supporters do indeed speak for their candidate.
