13. I never saw my little dog Winky move so fast, as to AVOID the snow! She was a

proper princess though, a teacup maltese.

The first time she saw snow, we had been driving through France to the Loire and got stuck in an unexpected snow storm. We had to let the pooches out to do their business after driving for hours.

She wouldn't get out of the car, so I set her down in the snow, and she absolutely jumped back into the car with her 'fuck this shit' look.

When she was little, she'd broken her leg, requiring surgery and a permanent titanium splint on the bone. A couple years later in Paris, after avoiding any successfully avoiding any contact with snow, she simply had to do her business outside after a rare snowfall. After a couple minutes of not being too bothered by it all, she started screaming hysterically, and I realized that the titanium shaft was becoming very cold and painful! Isn't that horrible? Poor thing. Wrapped her up warm and scuttled her home quick as could be.

My latest dog hasn't yet seen snow. With his aversion to rain, I have no idea how he'll like it!
