In reply to the discussion: Peace my black ass [View all]one_voice
(20,043 posts)63. WTF?!?! Did you even read what I wrote?
or did you just put your own spin on it? Yeah, I was pissed at the lack of coverage and action.
Here's my post in it's entirety..
You keep saying 'two wrongs make it right'...
stop for two seconds and think of the frustration and anger that some are feeling at the in your face double standards. People were gassed, shot with rubber bullets, etc at the previous mentioned protests--unarmed I might add--and these guys are getting a fucking pass. They're breaking the law.
You keep saying violence isn't the answer--no maybe it isn't--but you and everyone else telling people to...shush it's being handled appropriately--is insulting, dismissive and condescending. They have a right to their anger and frustration and to express it without being told they're sick or wrong.
My first reaction was treat them exactly as you would if they were Muslim. But I think you know that would be a violent reaction...and that's the problem; The. fucking. double. standard. that's pissing everyone off.
I'm pissed. I'm sick of certain groups of people---armed white people,--being treated differently than other people--unarmed brown/black people. SICK. TO. FUCKING. DEATH. OF. IT.
So yeah, I will vent in anger, that doesn't necessarily mean I want a building full of people blown up. I do, however want some action taken, they're breaking the law.
I'd appreciate being able to vent my feelings without someone coming along telling me how wrong I am, how sick I am, or all the other things being said because my first reaction wasn't for a peaceful resolution for the fucking terrorists. Fuck. Them.

Let's do this one more time....some people vent....I did. Yeah my first reaction was do to them what you'd do if they were Muslim/black/brown skinned people. If you think that's violence then you're proving my point and the RIGHTEOUS anger that many have. The double standards have got to stop, both LEO and the media.
Yes, I do want some action to be taken. I want them arrested. They are breaking the law. The Feds need to do their fucking job and arrest them.
They get no special treatment. End. of. story.

By your logic no illegal occupations of land and buildings would be challenged

That's the same coddling attitude that let them get away with the standoff at the Bundy Ranch.

There is no way to take out the supplies with a drone that doesn't start a firefight.

That's the main goal. And if you read my posts, that is what I have been advocating.

I don't advocate for treating them the way we treat non-whites who engage in similar behavior
