39. With that much money, I could afford to be extravagant!

1) Rejoice that my husband could leave corporate America forever!

2) Build a large house with enough room for all the kids and grandkids to spend quality time together. In the mountains, preferably.

3) Lend the above house to friends and extended family so they could enjoy it as well.

4) Buy a small, 2 bedroom condo for everyday living in a great city (not sure which one).

5) Set aside money for my parents, kids and grandkids, but not too much. Maybe $500,000 each. (Well, we are dreaming about the biggest lottery payout in history. )

5) Set up foundations for causes I want to work on - a first class battered women's shelter and education, help for homeless, a huge aviary and rescue for large birds, scholarships, literacy and tutoring, scientific research for the most promising cures for diseases (and not just expensive treatment) . ...there's so many things I'd like to fund!
