You would be better off doing the news conference at the lottery headquarters. If you don't give them something, they will hound you until they get something. How common is your surname? If your last name is Anderson or Johnson you would better able to stay under the radar. Of course, if you won the entire jackpot, then all bets are off.
The interesting thing is that there are super wealthy Minnesotans who go through their day to dayife without much attention (the Hubbards for example), but the general public see lottery winners as potential sugar daddies.)
