(13,262 posts)I don't like mean people and I find those who think tearing down others in order to make themselves or "their team" look "better/stronger/more worthy" to be juvenile and bullies. (Definition #3 of juvenile). Regardless of who you support, attacking others for that support makes us no better than bullies on a playground - in ~my~ opinion (ymmv).
It's why I stayed away from the DU primaries before and do so as much as is possible now. I despise repubs/rwers/their useful idiots/etc., and I'm not about to come onto a public message board and help them tear down the left. They have a well funded and long established Whirlitzer of their own and they don't need my help.
Attacking another person in the name of any candidate is what I expect from r/w abusers, liars, and bullies. That people seem to forget the internet has tons of those types of liars, bullies, and shit-stirrers who enjoy trolling message boards for the sole purpose of watching each "side" tear each other apart, always confuses the hell out of me. How the hell do you post on the internet for any length of time and not recognize that trolls and trouble-makers exist?
Okay. Sorry. I needed to vent. Thanks for providing the impetus for me to lance the boil - so to speak.
(edited to add: That does not mean, however, that I will not be mean back if lied to (or about) or attacked. If someone is physically or virtually "punching me in the face" I will not "turn the other cheek." It's not a perfect response and these past months I've taken to just "walking away."
