My apologies. All I see you providing evidence for, is that someone who wants to stir up shit knows how to copy/paste/link to an online image and that the image is ~on this site~ associated with the DUer known as Aerows, beam me up scottie, and/or Cerridwen (or niyad).

Yeah, because someone wanting to create dissent on DU would not stoop to "identifying" themselves as a poster from DU.

As a matter of fact, someone else here is currently using the same avatar as I currently use. They're just part of the "stock" avatars available on this board. As you can see by my use of bmus', it's also possible to grab an image from elsewhere and post here.

Hell, for that matter, since I have no trademark/copyright on my username, I'm pretty sure you can find posters using the same name around the internet. They're not me, btw, unless of course it's an old one from the 90s in which case it might be me; but, please ask me to confirm. But, nowadays, I use Cerridwen only here on DU. I could however, were I the type, pop on over to any website and use "Aerows," "beam me up scottie," "niyad," or pretty much any name that isn't already in use on that site.

Seriously. Use of an avatar (or a username) means...well, not much. It does however help catapult rumor and innuendo; something I made a point of noting in my own original post in this thread.

I can't tell who did this shit; not for certain. Neither can most anyone else here on DU, over at discussionist, or hell, even conservative cave and other anti-Democrat sites - without actual proof; receipt for domain registration, an on-line admission with verifiable proof that the poster is who they say they are, etc.

Everything else, including my own original reply in this thread, is nothing more than supposition.

I'm starting to regret that I bothered since it's apparently going to be used to create yet more innuendo against people on this board.
