Men do this as well. It's a control thing.

If she has discussions with you about updating your vehicle, that's fine. Or if she expresses her dismay at your vehicle's environmental footprint.

But take it from another woman, if she makes demands and issues ultimatums, you'd best think long and hard. This kind of person, should you change your vehicle to please her, will soon move on to the next demand and the next ultimatum.

As the former partner of a very controlling man, I recognize the signs here. My advice is to beware.

Try gently and lovingly telling her you are not going to change your vehicle at this time. Be respectful and polite and reasure her that despite your decision, her opinion does matter to you.

Then observe her reaction and her demeanor.
