6. I still think "fix it later" was the right call. But now it's later

The sooner you start a program, the sooner you learn the hard lessons, one mistake at a time, to run a large complex system right. It took the British & French 40 years of socialized medicine before they got their bureaucracies fixed so that things run smoothly there (and there are still problems). The sooner we make our mistakes, the sooner we learn how to protect our people.
