14. He was working in Italy for 11 years. He met his wife after being there for about 3 years.

When the company he worked for lost the contract, he came back to the States. He made all the arrangements for her to get a green card and she returned here with him. Not really so weird.

I guess I've been fighting a loosing battle with him and his politics though. When he was in the Navy and Clinton was prez, he hated him. He blamed Clinton for all the military cutbacks which affected HIS ability to do his job...no parts available etc. I tried to explain to him that we were no longer at war and didn't need the huge military then, but even though it was congress who cut the $$, it was the top brass that chose where and what to cut, but it didn't matter, he still blames Clinton.

He now blames Obama for what he has to pay for Health Care. I admit, his costs are TERRIBLE! Just 2 people, no dependents, both healthy mid 40', but making too much to get a subsidy. He pays $1,500 a MONTH! He's checked with all the different ins. cos. but they're all within $15.00 of one another. He wasn't here when the ins. companies wre going mad with raising their premiums by several hundred dollars a year, so what he sees is Obama Care causing is nightmare.

I think I'm just going to have to resign myself to the fact that he's not a Dem and never will be.
