...and probably more than that since many people don't clearly fall into one gender.

Bachmann and Palin were born with a womb, and in neither case does the plumbing they were born with make them inherently more qualified to make decisions for others, regardless of gender. There's also no shortage of legislators who happened to be born with a penis that are on the right side of this issue.
