But being ass holes about it is something else.

I have actually met Drew Carey and Patricia Heaton.

Drew Carey use to hang out at the bar I was a short order cook for when he was still developing his schtick in Cleveland Supper Clubs... He was really full of himself. I guess some people are like that and stay i that bravado to convince themselves that they are talented and rich. He was okay to deal with on a personal level and he was funny. One night we ran into him at a Pere Ubu concert back in the 70's and we had a great time.

My beef with Carey was that he made a big deal about locating his sit com in Cleveland but never once shot any shows here. He also could have brought his wait wait charade show and based it out of Cleveland if he really wanted to boost the area like he always said. But I guess the lure of lotus land is too much.

I only met Ms Heaton one time. She sang for the choir in the next door bedroom suburb. Their choir and ours would get together at Christmas time and have a joint concert to raise money for both our programs.

Her dad was the best sports reporter at the Cleveland Plain Dealer, one of the largest city papers in the country at that time. She knew some of the people I hung out with and she came over and I introduced myself to her. She was a typical suburban princess back in 1974....

That's my sum total of people republicans I knew in Show Business.

Although Dick Jacobs, the guy who owned the Cleveland Indians when they were knocking the hide off the ball in the 90's. My MIL was good friends with his wife and they gave MrsWCGreen a bridal shower at their manson. She was nice and gave me $100 bucks for my state house run in 1994.

Sorry for runing on, just took a few vicadins and I am up in the hospital room enjoying some pain free time....
