26. That's what it looked like to me.

He came out with his hands out to his sides not over his head, like so it was a shorter distance to his gun.

Then it looked like he was deliberating whether to draw his gun and when the guy came behind he he decided to do it.

Sad, he didn't have to die. He almost was able to run around the road block. Looked like that was what he was hoping to do.

On the other hand you see him at the refuge, he's smiling. He's having the time of his life living out his fantasies of being a revolutionary.

Maybe after that going back to all those kids and farmwork, or jail just wasn't in the cards for him.

Guessing it may come out what happened inside eventually.

Maybe he thought they were going to kill them all in the car and he'd draw the fire.

Hard to say. He was 55, he had a lot of good years left. Sad.
