BTW, the Beetle had its origins in the very last months of the Weimar era and if it hadn't been for Ganz's 'Maikafer' the Beetle as we know it might not have been mocked up back in '32. Hell, even Hitler was impressed by the first designs(though production was only commissioned for the military).
