All my callers seemed to have the same story: that supposedly I put my name on some online form. So all of a sudden I was getting offers for every kind of insurance and money lending possible.

I told them that they were breaking the law because I was on do-not-call and they kept insisting that I'd given permission by filling out an online form. (Which I hadn't.)

Anyway, I finally re-registered on do-not-call and now things are quieter again.
