(82,849 posts)He's watched very quietly as Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina had their passing moments. Donald Trump continues to hang in there, but even some of his media pals are beginning to sound like he's gone stale. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are both getting the spotlight's red glare cast on them. Rubio may have flamed out, and Cruz is a truly unlikable person. Rubio will have difficulty recapturing momentum if he doesn't show well in New Hampshire. I anticipate Cruz will do okay in New Hampshire, about the same in South Carolina, but Nevada could prove a bridge too far.
As the Republican candidates each take their turn, Bush will continue to bump and stump along (it's not like he has anything else to do or a job to go to). He's a known, if unexciting, commodity, and may just slog through to the nomination.
