Cruz would be chosen as VP to keep the religious rightwing in the fold.

I will be surprised if a brokered convention occurs. Republican Candidates are dropping like mosquitos in a DDT cloud. It will get increasingly expensive to stay in the race. By the end of Super Tuesday, it will be a two or three man race. Republicans are too pissed off at their own establishment to go with a safe, establishment candidate.
