The funny thing about mine is I never got bill from the hospital or the surgeon. I went to see the surgeon about 5 years later when one of the screws was coming out of my foot. I was sitting in his room and he was looking at the X-ray they just took and say "this leg looks awful familiar. Are you pulling anymore of those stunts or do I need a stake". They were ll good people and took me with no insurance and did about a 8 hour leg surgery on me. I really believe anyone else would have cut it off. After all the mangling of the leg, I only have loss of feeling at the very tip of the big toe. Good folks.
