There is much provable evidence that the capitalist modes of production and distribution (that prioritize profit over human needs) are a very serious problem. "Empowerment" is a meaningless buzzword under capitalist social relations. Empowerment for how many ? What about the rest ? "The poor will always be with us" is not an excuse. You want to continue this...lets hear your views on how global capitalism will "empower the masses and third world countries." The exact opposite is true. Capitalism does not elevate the masses it expropriates from the masses. Whenever I hear the words "unregulated capitalism" and overpopulation arguments in the same post it immediately sets off the warning bells of --capitalism as the "end of history."
