stuff they can see an immediate local impact. To "but I don't know about many of them" I tell them to look at the voters guide at least, and if you truly don't want to vote for some parts, you don't have to. It's it like a test where you have to fill out all the bubbles.

Once they get voting on local, they are more about to continue with the federal level.

Getting people involved enough to simply do something is important.
