19. Trump will lose a good number of Catholic votes in the general

Mark my words. His remarks amounted to just about saying stfu and myofb. The result will be lost votes.

There is no cardinal or bishop who wants to land in Catholic Siberia - wherever that's located. So those guys will keep their lips buttoned if they're "friends" of Trump. I have no doubt that this pope will remind the wiseguys in that bunch who controls their assignments and standing in the church.

No matter how things go with this issue I can hardly wait for the political ads. They ought to be priceless. There were so many diplomatic ways for Trump to have handled this and he decided to go for the jugular. When it comes to followers Pope Francis outnumbers The D. I'm now on walk-back watch.
