53. They see us as the enemy, which is why they can't do anything useful

I always thought that the party system was to help guard against groupthink and allow different points of view. Some very poisonous egos later (Nixon,Gingrich etc) and we have a party that hates everyone who isn't "with them".

With our parties leaders the embodiment of that Mr. Fish cartoon, it's very worrying what will stop the gops from heading towards an actual nazi-like party. There already are violent brown shirt wannabes at their rallies hoping to beat protesters, Muslims, brown people, anyone who isn't them.
