(18,402 posts)12. It should be when one of the two candidates reaches 2,383
pledged delegates. That is the official point of no return, when one candidate becomes the presumptive nominee. That is expected to come sometime in May, I believe. So whether or not both candidates go on until the last primary or caucus before the convention, there should be no hating on the presumptive nominee (or his or her opponent). And that includes so-called "facts" that berate the candidates.
