In reply to the discussion: Man Taking Selfies With Gun Fatally Shoots Himself [View all]Ghost in the Machine
(14,912 posts)87. You forgot the most important one of all... TREAT *EVERY* FIREARM AS IF IT WERE LOADED!
Even if you unloaded it yourself, double check, then triple check it, and NEVER take someone else's word that "it's not loaded"... again, check for yourself, double check, then triple check! Keep the bolt/slide/action open if you can.
A little off topic, but I, personally, have NEVER bought the BS story of "the gun went off when I was cleaning it". When I clean MY guns, the magazines are removed, the actions are locked open and there is no round in the chamber. How the hell else do you get the cleaning rod all the way through the barrel???
Peace,
Ghost

Would you support subsidizing your proposed training requirement for low income people?

Nope. Same stats. Same numbers. Just a lot of intentional misinterpretation, distortion and lying.

Just like you shouldn't answer the telephone while ironing clothes with a hot iron.
