Not everyone is a Type A pursuer of the almighty dollar. A lot of people would be happy to put in their time at work in exchange for a living wage, benefits, paid time off, and that be the end of it. They'd prefer to invest the best of their energy in other pursuits (family, hobbies, something else). But our society is constantly telling people that if you're not moving up, if you're not hustling and going as fast as you can each and every day, you're falling behind, you're a moocher or worthless, you're not really deserving of that living wage or those benefits or paid time off.
