(3,038 posts)20. Detroit had already had a riot in 1967 and
I also saw RFK at Mercy College Detroit. I even shook his hand. (Back in 1963 I had met MLK in Detroit and shook his hand). I gave up after that wanting to shake hands with anyone famous that I liked.

No. I was a kid then but that was hard core violence and disruption inside the convention itself
