(24,411 posts)about Trump--until just a few says ago. Hubby always thought Trump was a joke who would never get elected. My husband was enjoying the spectacle.
Today he commented that Trump is no longer acting like an idiotic buffoon. He's all ready pivoted to primary/presidential mode. Hubby said, "I think everything we've seen this far has been an act. He knew that he had to galvanize the base/crazies and get them on board. Now he's going after the Indies and the Dems."
Hubby pointed out how Trump is discussing how horrific these trade deals are for America and how terrible the dirty corporate money in politics is creating bought-off politicians. Trump is also now discussing and touting his anti-war stances--and his belief that Iraq was a mistake.
I looked at my husband and said...holy shit.
I think my husband is right.
Sad to admit it, but I'm frightened. I think he played the buffoon, as strategy. I think he's a lot smarter/diabolical than people realize.
