In the sense that by being that way, one is exactly the same as that which is being criticized.

It's like using the word tolerant. I used to say I was a very tolerant person until one day it struck me forcefully that I'm actually quite intolerant of those who are intolerant. To be truly tolerant one has to also tolerate the intolerant. Oops! Circular logic where you always end up contradicting yourself by your own words.

Degrassi-Tyson is just messing with us. He's stating the truth of our own circular thinking. I actually think he's just having fun with words and giving us a bit of a jolt while doing it.
