6. The thing is, though, that in order to win,

Trump will need the votes of a lot of people he's insulted: Latinos, other PoC, and Muslims and other immigrants in particular. Very few people in those groups would touch him with a ten-foot pole. The GOP establishment doesn't like him, either; they won't vote for a Democrat but they might just stay home.

That said, whoever gets the Dem nomination is going to have to work very hard to be sure he's crushed like a bug in November if he gets the GOP nomination. It looks likely that Hillary will win the Dem nom, although it's not over yet. If she does, she is going to have to figure out how to win back the Sanders supporters she's been insulting and condescending to for the past few months. Maybe they'll be scared enough of Trump to hold their noses and vote for her (that's my plan), but she will have some fence-mending to do.
