Instead of brown shirts, Trump has KKK and other right wing folks who are, as we have seen, only too happy to attack "the others".

Remember that Milton Mayer's famous book They Thought They Were Free on the rise of Hitler
showed most of the people were too busy and pre-occupied to really look hard at what he was really about.
they did not have the magic of the web to bring them warnings, the newspapers were entirely supportive of Hitler's rise,
whether out of fear or out of admiration I can't say.
and night after night his voice came over the radio waves.
