(9,454 posts)I think the bigger crime here isn't the one post that has been cross linked from another website where you basically gave into the dark side and admitted your hate and anger. In my mind that was just the truth that came out.
No, the bigger crime is the persistent behavior on this website of many posters who have insinuated in various ways over many months that supporters of Bernie Sanders are racist which has degraded the debate and alienated many here.
The post in question only confirms what many of us have suspected has been going on for a long time. You admitted, in an ugly way, what we already had come to know.
In that post, you flat out said Bernie Sanders supporters are racist and you don't even really like Hillary Clinton but you gore at us time and again for some sort of smug revenge.
When one person says something ugly in the heat of anger, it is very forgivable. All but the best of us have said ugly things in anger. But what I see here is a pattern of emotional abuse waged by yourself and others on a shared website where we, as posters, are the content of that website. This emotional abuse has amounted to a "when did you stop beating your wife" campaign which presumes guilt in its premise and any chance to defend against such an accusation is met with the denial that the accused even has the ability to recognize their own crimes (the tone deaf argument). It becomes a no win situation which pits one racial group vs. another in some sort of proxy war for the candidates. It has been a despicable situation and has soured me against DU and the posters here who have promoted it.
The real question I have is if you will admit to that and actually stop it.
