(68,918 posts)This is going to sound all wrong, but so many DUers here get themselves all filled up with the feeling that all of us hang on their every word, (alert) stalk them or keep notebooks filled with past transgressions. We are never as important as we think we are to others on a message board.
That simply isn't true. A small handful of people do this to each other, while the rest of us merely participate.
That said, I have been shocked by the words and behaviors of people on both sides of the Bernie v. Hillary battle. Too much of it has become personal this primary season, and I have found myself putting people I like (again, from both sides) on ignore simply so I don't lose all respect for them.
When a person (myself in this case) posts a meme to lighten things up and people freak out about it, well, that tells me something.
A few of the supporters of both Bernie and Hillary need to take a look inward and ask themselves what it is really about.
Have a great day, bravenak and DU.
