You do realize that many Jews are also Germans--they aren't mutually exclusive situations. In fact, many Israeli kids (as well as Jewish young adults from other nations) are using their "right of return" to obtain German passports that they are entitled to, based on their grandparents (many of whom were killed by Hitler). They are Jews. They are also GERMANS. The passport makes it easier for them to find work in the EU and some take them for that reason--others want to re-connect with their heritage--they have as much right to it as anyone, if not even more right, given the suffering of their ancestors.

Article 116 par 2 of Germany’s Basic Law reads:

Former German citizens who between January 30, 1933 and May 8, 1945 were deprived of their citizenship on political, racial, or religious grounds, and their descendants, shall on application have their citizenship restored. They shall be deemed never to have been deprived of their citizenship if they have established their domicile in Germany after May 8, 1945 and have not expressed a contrary intention.
