Sure, they could eventually get it re-instated, given the imbalanced Supreme Court. But they'd lose a bunch of money in the meantime, and that would be expensive. Of course, most Senators probably make a lot more money on bribes than U.S. Treasury checks, but I'll bet it would annoy them.
