You said you're done with this thread, but I'm writing just in case you're reading, or maybe someone else interested in the discussion is reading.

I have come to understand that people, apparently lots, see calling him "Drumpf" as a way to express their feelings about his bigotry. I tried to acknowledge that in a couple of replies. After a while I got tired of repeating it.

I do appreciate your showing me how this looks from a point of view other than my own.

If I had the whole thing to do over again, I would not phrase it as a request. I didn't think it out that far, because I expected maybe 5 people to see it and 2 to reply, at best, because two replies is about the best I've ever done with an OP. Of course people have every right to express themselves any way they want, and the request was kind of a rhetorical way for me to raise the issue for discussion. I don't like people shaking their fingers at me either, but, as I said, I didn't give it so much thought before I posted as to see it that way.
