Evidently SECTION 2.1.G.S.95-25.1 of House Bill 2 does not allow individual cities, towns, etc, to raise their minimum wage beyond that mandated by government. IOW, Charlotte (let's say) can't raise their minimum wage to 15.00 an hour.

They knew this. They knew they could slip in the crappy wage restriction and everyone would focus on the LGBT discrimination. And if they protected their wealthy friends from having to pay a living wage to their workers, they could live with having SECTION 1.1. G.S.115C-47 overturned at a later date. Because it's basically unenforceable.
