5. I gave up a long time ago

in hoping people wouldn't be stupid, and I sure don't want to bank on that when it comes to Trump.

On edit: I don't disagree with your original point that the courts and Congress would take away as much of his authority as possible, but we saw once before what the American people do when faced with a terrorist attack, even if the President is an idiot. I will admit that Trump scares me, if for nothing else than what his support says about our country.
