to many OTHER ignorant, 'not so nice' things I've heard from the Irish about Americans,

and I don't mean the politics, I mean the people themselves.

If my post was 'ugly' it's in response to the equally ugly things I've heard and experienced from the Irish about Americans.

Glad to hear your Irish friends and relatives "hold no hard feelings toward Americans", but I'd have to ask, "why would they"?

After a centuries worth of financial and political help received from America, I'd say it's the minimum one might expect..
