The leader of the Democratic Party was too terrified to make the easily-made case to Wisconsin voters that Walker is turning their state over to the plutocrats. While Walker may have had limitless millions in dollars funneling in from his billionaire puppet masters, Barrett could have had something that all those millions of dollars could never buy for the GOP: an actual sitting President.
Obama could have made the difference in the recall election -- or at least, tried to make a difference. Could anyone imagine Harry S. Truman not working to get Walker out of office in a situation like this?
Needless to say, Obama will look like Fool Almighty if he were to actually campaign for votes in WI this fall, hat in hand, after abandoning the good people of Wisconsin. Certainly he must realize that.
But what Obama and his strategists apparently don't realize is that Democratic voters in other states will be all too aware of the leader of the Democratic Party's inaction re. Wisconsin.
