17. I was giving a deposition once...

and mentioned hurting my back while on the cycle at the gym. The lawyer said, "Do you mean the stationary bicycle, or your menstrual cycle?" I paused a long time, and said evenly "the stationary bicycle." Then I glanced at the female court reporter who looked up at me and rolled her eyes.

Why the hell would I say I was on my menstrual cycle when I hurt my back at the gym?! It's creepy that he would even think of that.

(No, I was not suing the gym. The lawyer was asking me every question under the sun about crap totally unrelated to another issue.)
