I and several others got up and walked in the middle of the priest's sermon on DOMA. The pulpit isn't supposed to be politicized, and it was hate speech. The dioceses had put out of a ton of glossy brochures defending "One Man, One Woman" throughout SE Michigan. I'm sure it cost quite a few bucks out of their non-tax-paying coffers.

Yeah, people stood up and walked out. The media just wasn't there. I left, never looked back, and gave up on religion in totality in 2007.
