Sure I'd be happy if either or both team folded, but the only "elimination" process that is either desirable or frankly effective is the slow natural one of the Enlightenment, which embarrasingly managed to lose its early tenuous grip on the US but kept good hold of most of the remaining developed western democracies. It will come to the east eventually. No religion or "ism" is ever really eliminated through external violence, short of outright annihilation hardly possible in this age of shared diasporas. Evenhtually Islam will be a quirky, slightly red-faced remnant of a tiny minority in Syria just like Christianity is in Scotland. Same here too. The world can wait.
