I mean Bernie, and I love the guy, will not be able to get anything done without a House and Senate. The last Democrat to pull that off was Lyndon Johnson and he did do a massive amount of arm twisting and got a tremendous amount of laws passed.

Two things brought him down, Vietnam and Civil Right Rights but he did get them passed.

Please don't fall for the bullshit of blaming Bill Clinton. When he can in he had Hillary working on a new public health bill and he raised taxes on the highest tax rates that Reagan lowered. He did some more Democratic policies and it cost the Democrats dearly.

The crime bill and welfare were later on but if you will remember the right wing had full press trying to impeach him. They worked at it from day one. I remember Linda Chavez screaming "White Water Gate" referring to the failed land deal with the McDougals.

I remember one of my bosses was happy as shit because Clinton was getting paid back for raising his taxes.

I know the news media is pushing this for all it can but please pull back. It is making too many of the enemy happy.
