9. Long shot

Maybe it was a just a long shot to being with (the recall)?

I'm learning to face the fact that we live in a fundamentally conservative country - politically, socially, economically. The progressive blips in our history were only that: just blips. This conservatism, now mixed with oodles of cash and Christianity gone wild (and off the skids) makes for a toxic mix, within which we are now living: concentration of wealth in smaller and smaller populations; zombie evangelicals; raping of the environment; vile decisions out of the high court; grey old white men holding onto shreds of their old power base.

We either move, wait it our, or move on. I am trying to stay engaged, but there's a strong urge within tune out.
