21. Too bad the source put quotes around the word Christian.

It implies that he's not a Christian - that he HAS to be something else because Christians are always good. That is bigotry against non-Christians, plain and simple.

Problem is, there's plenty of horrible bullshit in the bible on which to base his particular version. God punishing children for the sins of their fathers, condemnations of homosexuality, repeated references to marriage being between a man and a woman. Liberal believers can argue until they're blue in the face that we aren't supposed to take those verses seriously, that they were written for a specific time and place, etc., but that doesn't change the fact that those verses are still in the book. A book that Christians across the spectrum hold in high regard, most as the actual word of god.

He's a Christian, whether liberal Christians like it or not.
