8. I go an entire summer, some years, without seeing one!

Everything has been coming earlier each year, by weeks. Last summer the early orchids were nearly a month late while later blooming orchids were blooming several weeks early making both kinds bloom at the same time, which I thought was spooky to say the least.

The bears get up in early Feb. these days and many of the other migratory birds are here or passing through at odd times now.

But we have snow pack for at least a couple more weeks which will make down-river places less dry! We had 3ft up until it got really hot last weekend and it rained to boot. The 3ft got whittled down to about 12 inches in a hurry, and now more snow. We can get snow well into mid June sometimes. Last year we had several inches of snow in mid July and it stuck around for a few days. Watched it snow several times in June too.

Love the Rockies, you never know what the weather will bring from minute to minute. In fact, just heard a warning of funnel clouds spotted, have to go get a look at that and see if I need to hit the root cellar!

Later!
