New York Primary results, according to Google today:

Republican votes:

Trump: 524,932

Kasich: 217,904

Cruz: 126,151

Total New York Republican votes: 868,987

Democratic votes:

Clinton: 1,054,083

Sanders: 763,469

Total New York Democratic votes: 1,817,552

Conclusions to take away:

* Bernie Sanders won more votes than the two top Republicans combined;

* Hillary Clinton won more votes than all Republican votes combined;

* Heavy voting restrictions and notable irregularities could not prevent an overwhelmingly Democratic turnout;

* Democratic voters turned out at a greater than 2 to 1 ratio compared to Republicans, despite the fact that statistically, Republicans vote more diligently than do Democrats. That disparity in favor of Republicans is usually even stronger in the primaries.

The final conclusion, a near certainty in my opinion, is that no combination of candidates, turnout and vote theft can take New York away from Democrats in this election season. That's over ten percent of all the EVs needed to win the White House, right there, already in the bag. Thank you, New York!

I'm going to celebrate with a mug of hot chocolate right now.
