11. That's really the part that confuses me.

There's no chance Obama pardons him...the Obama administration DoJ has gone after him as hard as the Bush DoJ ever did and has aggressively opposed his motions and legal efforts at reviewing or overturning his sentence.

It seems pretty clear that Obama wants Siegelman to stay where he is and his sentence upheld...but I just don't know why. It doesn't make much sense unless he has reason to believe Siegelman isn't a political prisoner and the charges were legitimate. I can't see how he could believe that.
